About
Silverfish are small, nocturnal insects typically 13mm - 25mm long. Their abdomens taper at the end, giving them a fish-like appearance.
Silverfish commonly consume matter that contains starches and sugars, this even come in the form on adhesive materials found in book bindings, paints, and photos.
They are considered household pests due to the large amount of damage they can cause to homes and other buildings. Silverfish can live for over a year without food as long as there is access to water, however they are not known to spread disease.
